The surgeon superintendent of the ship, Dr. Vicarv on his part, received no less than three * similar testimonials,: one from each of the various sections of the passengers. We publish one of these documents,—that emanating from the •families,'in the steerage: — , "To George T. Vicary, Esq., Surgeon: " We, the undersigned, passengers on board the Clontarf from London to New Zealand, beg to convey to you our most sincere thanks for the successful exercise of your professional skill, and for the uniformly kind, attentive, and gentlemanly feeling you have displayed to ourselves and families throughout the voyage. "We are further desirous of thanking you for your exertions in conducting the religious services on board, and for the care you have manifested for the general moral as well as physical well-being of the passengers. " That it may please God to bless you with health and prosperty is the sincere wish of, sir, "Tours faithfully, (Signed by 91 heads of families, representing 309 souls.) ■" " On board the ship Clontarf, Dec, 1858."
