Maj or Greneral Buller in charge of the column at Metammeh telegraphs that the Royal Irish regiment reaehed Gubat on 1 linst, an eye-witness of the capture of Khartoum by the rebels states that after the death, of General Gordon and his party no fighting took place, and that no wumen or children were killed, but that the Mahdites sacked Khartoum.
