Huge Conflagrations in Germany.
WORK OF ALLIED AVIATORS. Received 9.20 a.m. this day. Geneva, April IT. The Friedrichshafen fire was * still blazing at noon on Tuesday. It is reported that Allied aviators dropped bombs on Manzell gasworks, starting a conflagration, the reflection of which was visible in almost the whole of Eastern Switzerland. CRITICS BLTSY.Ileceived 11.10 a.m. this day. London, April 17. Colonel liepington, the military- critic, declares that Mr Lloyd Geox-ge's statement that there Avere only three white divisions in Palestine and Egypt when tlie German offensive was launched is untrue. .He re-asserts that we were feeding a million anil a quarter mouths in three Eastern theatres on March 21, costing an inconceivable price in lives, ships, money and resources. The Daily News Parliamentary correspondent says there is a feeling among the moderate Liberals that something has gone wrong at the front. There is a mystery regarding the use of reserves. The Liberals demand closed touch between the Commons and Cabinet, and insist on an explanation of the conflicting Ministerial statements.
