SHOOTING.
On Saturday afternoon, the Levin Defence Rifle Club continued its trophy shooting, firing the fourth competition of the second series of trophies. The afternoon was fine with a very bright and hot sun shining, and there was a fairly long and choppy wind bio. wing across the . range, which made-shooting somewhat difficult, especially on the 1000 yds range. Rflm. L. Ingram won the special prize for the day, his score being 43 out of a possible 50, a very good tally considering the weather conditions and the range. Conditions were 10 shots and sigliter at 1000 yds. Scores. W. It. Ingram 30 — 30 J. Munro 32 -— 32 L. Ingram 42 — 42 Rocl) fort 25 15 40 H. George 1G 8 24 P. Jones 22 — 22 J. Bertram 19 — 19 S. Butts 7 10 17 Next Saturday the Club will continue its shooting by firing the fifth competition, 10 shots and sighter at 700 yds.
