SUCCESSFUL SALE AT SHANNON
On Friday, at Gillandia Hall, Shannon, there was a large attendance of farmers, when the propea-tics in the estate of Arthur May Riohardson (deceased) .were submitted to auction. Mi J. H. Hankins read the conditions of sale, after which Mr Porritt, of Abraham and Williams Ltd., auctioned the various lots. The demand was not brisk at the siale only (Lot 2 being sol'd, but the; three remaining lots were sold after ''ahe auction.- The prices and buyer)-: were as follows: — Lot 1. J-acre, township of Shannon to Mr A. "B. Tremewan, at £100. Lot 2. 20-acres, Thompson Street, Shannon, to Mm W. Z. ißioh'ardson, at £72 per acre. T/ot 3. 98-acres 1 rood 16 perclies, Kara Road, Shannon, to Mr T. F. Jamieson, at £39 per acre. Lot 4. 98 acres 1 roodl 16 perches, near lot 3., to .Mr T. H. A. Tremewan. at £28 per aero. Fout J-ftcre sections on account ot Mr G. N. Stephenson were also offered, but were passed in.
