RECORD CATTLE SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd, report:—At our Cattle iFatlr held at Levin on Tuesday last we had a record entry o>f cattle, some 2000 headi 'being yarded in all. Buyers were present in largo numbers from surrounding districts, and from Wanganui, Masterton, Palmerston and Pahautainti). With the exception of male cattle (grown) for which there was only a very limited enquiry!, other lines met with good competition, and in the case of young cattle the demand was keen. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: At our usual weekly A'jodk sale held at the Lot in yards on Tuesday, 13th inst, we offered a faiilr entry of both sheep and cattle and a good clearance was made at the following prices: Woolly ewe hoggets, 36s 6d, mixed sex woolly hoggets 35s 7d, shorn wethers (medium) 30s shorn lioggets (Rood), 30k, fat cow £10 8s 6d to £12 17s 6d', yearling steers £7 10s, mixedi yearlimge £6 17s Gd, yearling grade Holstein Bulls, £9 to £12 103. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, report having held slieir usual weekly sale at Levin on Tuesday when they offered a fair entry of eiheep and cattic. Prices realised were : —Fat rams 33s 6d to 375; f.m. shorn ewes, 27is 3d; fat oowe, £10 10s to £12 10s; springing cowis to £13 17s Gd.
