Outstanding Offer Made by White Star Hotel to United Nations
An outstanding offer is made by the White Star Hotel, Queenstown, to swell the funds of the United Nations Appeal for Children and it is believed to be the only offer of its kind in the district.
On Friday next the full day’s takings from the hotel bar on that day is to be donated to the appeal and Mr J. E. Home is giving the matter fullest publicity. The key of the cash register will be given to Mr Dougherty who will check the reading at 6 p.m. and the money will be handed over.
