Wanaka Meeting for United Nations Appeal
A public meeting was held on Monday in the Wanaka Hall to discuss methods of raising money for this appeal. The attendance was very poor; but what it lacked in numbers, was made up by the enthusiasm of those present.
With Mr W. Manson as chairman, Mr D. Grant as .secretary and a committee of seven, arrangements were made to hold a monster Bring and Buy evening in the Wanaka Hall on June 25. Messrs M. Davis and W. Manson are to aproach all sports bodies foxsupport. Mrs E. Richmod and Mrs W. Maixson will get in touch with all women’s organisations.
Mr 0. Templeton will be in charge of side shows, Mr L. M. Farrant will handle publicity. In the meantime Mr D. Grant will be pleased to receive donations of goods or money.
