Raising Lake Wanaka

The published statement of Mr C. W. O. Turner, of the Public Works Department, has done much to allay fears of people for the future of the settlement.

As far as Wanaka is concerned, the high level set will come to the level of the tennis t pourts, cover part of the football and show grounds, Jesuit in the shifting of about 10 residences, and possibly three business premises besides the Masonic Hall.

The thought uppermost in most minds is just when this work might be expected to begin. Householders and sports bodies alike would be pleased to receive this information, together with an indication of the area to be allotted for new sites.
