Better Railway Service
The Cromwell Borough Council moved that the Mayor, Mr William Partridge, should be its to the meeting to be* held in Alexandra .on Friday, May 14, at 2 p.m., for the appeal for a better railway service in Central Otago. From Omakau to Eanfurly, there are only three days a week on which people in these parts can travel.
The appeal is being organised by the Federated Farmers and the Mayor of Dunedin, Mr D. C. Cameron, together with members of his council, are said to be attending the meeting, with the possibility of one or two of the Dunedin members of Parliament also being present.
