"Fisherman’s Luck"
Among the most lucky anglers of the season was a certain visitor who spotted 10 large quinnat salmon cruising round in a hole in the Hawea River. A hurried dash to Wanaka for a week’s fishing licence, and a dash for the pool with his bait-caster, were rewarded by the taking of four of the fish, of an aggregate weight of 601b.
