Fishing

The fishing season on rivers' flowing from the lake has closed, and altogether the season has been disappointing, as the fish have been on bottom feed for most of the season.

The more experienced anglers have taken some good fish when they have been rising, and a notable feature has been the larger proportion of rainbow trout taken.

Among the successful fishermen on the Clutha near Luggate recently were Mr F. Collings and Mr Royds, who landed several, fine quinnat, one weighing 17|lb.
