VANDALISM AT RACECOURSE From a letter received from the Cromwell Jockey Club about the vandalism which has been going on at the Cromwell Racecourse, the Cromwell Borqugh Council, after a short discussion decided to place the matter in the hands of the police. GRADER FOR CEMETERY At the Council meeting on Thursday March 8, it was decided to have the grader taken out to the cemetery and have it put in order as there is considerable work to be done there. COLLECTION OF BOROUGH RATES The total collection of borough rates at March 31,'1948 for the Borough of Cromwell was 96.8 per cent.
GRADING OF STREETS Grading work has been undertaken in the following streets: Achil, Horace, Ends, Blyth, Gay, Murray, Sligo, Killala and Alpha streets and it is the Works Committee’s intention to have all the streets put in good order before the winter months.
