Rotary Told of China Mission

“ The miracle of China,” was tlie subject of an address given by the Rev. P. Anderson at last week’s meeting of the Queenstown Rotary Club. The speaker had taken a prominent part in missionary work in China before he came to New Zealand. There he worked amongst the poorest of the poor and met with many setbacks as a result of the infiltration of foreign agencies. The Emperor, Chiang Kai-Shek, and the Empress had for 20 years maintained a uniform government and con--i -'nir.,l the country in spite of innum- ( r ’ • difficulties, he said. The Rev. Mr Anderson was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The overseas toast, “Nottingham Club,” was given by Mr A. H. Wheatley. Visitors were present from the Invercargill and Alexandra clubs.
