Bowling at Wanaka
Results of the first round of the Ladies’ Bowling Championship Pairs are as follows: — Mesdames Paterson and Halliday defeated Mesdames Studholme and Robertson 20—18, Mesdames Forth and Wilson defeated Mrs Anderson and Miss Jopp 41—13, Mesdames McKegg and Perrow a bye. In the semi-finals of the Ladies’ Singles Bowling Championship Mrs Perrow defeated Miss Jopp 24 —16, Mrs Halliday defeated Mrs Forth 26—11. Results of the Men’s Junior Singles Championship are as follows, the first two named having two lives and the remainder one life. E. Richmond defeated J. Gardner 21 —10, J. Walsh defeated B. Templeton 19—16. lii the fourth round of the Aten's Senior Championship Singles, the first two named only having two lives. J. Perrow a bye, T. Bridgeman defeated R. Stevenson 27—14, A. Campbell defeated H. Halliday 23—12, W. Studholme delated A. C. Paterson 22—12. The seventh round of the Bowling Shield fixtures was played on the Wanaka green on Saturday, January 31 when three rinks of Queenstown bowlers played a match. Following are the scores, Queenstown names first and skips only being given: Pennan beat Walker 22—19, Nelson beat Dickie 31— 8, Tripp lost to Perrow B—3l.
