CENTRAL OTAGO ROADS ARE BETTER

Automobile Association Report

Roads in Central Otago are in better condition than they were at this time last year, stated Mr C. H. Blackledge, representative of the Automobile Association (Otago), at Queenstown last week. The ram we have had has been keeping the dust down and has tended to pack the road surfaces better, reducing corrugation to a minimum. There had been more hikers, cyclists and motor cyclists on the roads over the holiday period than there had been for many years, he added, and their road behaviour had been remarkably good.
