Fines Result from Accident at Cromwell
Arising from a collision between a taxi and a truck at Cromwell, Cecil James Crabbe, taxi driver, Cromwell, was fined £1 10s (costs 10s) for failing to give way on the right, and John Moss Pratley was fined 10s (costs 10s) for driving a truck without a current warrant of fitness by Mr A. E. Dobbie, H.M., in the Cromwell Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday last week. Constable S. Rusbatch said the charges arose from a collision at the intersection of Horace and Blyth streets, Cromwell, in the early hours of the morning, when a taxi driven by Crabbe hit a truck driven by Pratley. Possession of Firearm For delivering possession of a firearm to a person not entitled to have it without a permit, John William Gibson, Cromwell, was convicted and fined 10s (costs 10s).
