SCHOOL BREAK-UP

The annual break-up of the Wanaka School was held on Monday, December 8, and while held at short notice there was a splendid attendance of parents, who enjoyed the short open air ceremony which consisted of carols, songs and choral recitations. Mr H. Harris, on behalf of the School Committee, made reference to the good work that had been done by the pupils and staff during the year, and congratulated Preston Miller on being dux of the school. Mrs Stewart Faulks then presented gift books to the children. The following pupils were awarded Primary School Certificates:— Preston Miller, William King, Nancy Anderson, Thomas Faulks, Raymond Wilson, Thomas Templeton. Mr L. Farrant, headmaster, thanked the committee and parents for their co-operation during the year.
