WEATHER
The hot, dry weather of the past few weeks still continues and although ideal for the many visitors, it is serious for the farming community. The majority of farmers have very poor crops of peas due to the lack of rain, and other crops are also affected. Fortunately there is no restriction on the use of water for private gardens, as most householders depend on pumps, and all gardens are well advanced this season.
