The Dog Got Up ... A large black dog attracted many people in Cromwell’s main street last Thursday morning, when it sat in the middle of the road looking high up a lamp post. There dangling from a crossbar, was a three foot eel the sole victim of an eeling party the night before. Eventually it was cut down and returned to the Kawarau River. The dog walked away.
