OBITUARY

Mrs Margaret McFarlanc, who died at Oamaru on October 29, 1947, was the youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs J. L. Jopp, at one time the popular proprietors of the Royal Oak Hotel, Arrowtown. Mrs' McFarlane was born at Arrowtown, and educated at the local Catholic School, finishing her education under the Dominican Nuns of Queenstown. She then taught singing in Gore, eventually marrying Mr Alex. McFarlane, of Enfield, Oamaru, and to him in his sad bereavement the Arrowtown residents express their deepest sympathy.
