Revolution in Clothes Washing
Did you know that clothes can now he washed with sound waves through the use of a new gadget introduced by George E. Atkins, a New York engineer. The sound vibrator —no larger than a bar of soap—will operate in a bucket, tub, or basin. Sound waves create a great pressure of fine spray which forces through every fibre of the clothes and “ pushes out ” the dirt—even lipstick, perspiration stains, etc. To demonstrate how gentle is soundaction washing, Atkins put his dog in the machine. He came out clean, happy, and flea-less.
