First Qualifying Round
A Medal Match and the first qualifying round of the Women’s Golf Championship were played on the Wanaka Links on Saturday, Best scores were: —Mrs Anderson 82—7 —75, Mrs A. McKegg 111 —30 — 75, Mrs Harris 82—6—76, Mrs Morris 90 —14 —76, Mrs Farrant 103—27 —76. Results of the first round of the Men’s Senior Golf Championship are: —T. Allison beat W. Ironside 2 and 1; L. Farrant beat A. Allison 2 and 1; F. Jackson beat G. Morris 4 and 3. In the Men’s Junior Championship B. Adamson beat L. Robertson, jnr., 3 and 1 and E. Richmond beat H. Kaye 7 up.
