WANAKA P.W.M.U.
The Wanaka branch of the P.W.M.U. held its monthly meeting at Mrs Richmond’s residence last week. Mrs Hogan presided. There were only eight members present, and apologies were received from those who were unable to attend. Mrs Blanc read a letter from the Rev. J. D. Johnson, who visited Wanaka last year, and has since returned to China. The meeting of St. Andrew’s Guild followed the P.W.M.U., Mrs Manson presiding. The following stall holders were appointed for the annual bring and buy sale, to be held in three weeks time: Fancy, Mesdames Blanc and Richmond and Miss S. Templeton; produce, Mesdames Manson, Hogan, Haliday; cakes, Mesdames Umbers, Sinclair; plants, Mrs Cannan and Miss Jopp; competitions, Clive Umbers G.A. children’s stall, tearooms, Mesdames C. Morris, Burghess, C. Ironside, Chas. Templeton, D. Campbell; Christmas Cards, Mrs W. Ironside. Letters of thanks have been received for food parcels sent to England and the Guild still requires food for parcels, fat to be included.
