WAKATIPU FEDERATED FARMERS

There was a good attendance at a meeting of the Wakatipu branch of the Federated Farmers held at Arrowtown last Saturday. Mr W. P. Saunders presided. Mr IX R. Rowe reported that he was gathering evidence to be placed before the Sheep Farming Commission and he would be pleased to receive any information from interested persons. A list of graduated scale of subscriptions to the Provincial council was recciycd. It was decided to communicate with the Department of Agriculture in an endeavour to have suitable accommodation made available to the Agricui tural instructor stationed at Alexandra. It was decided to request all farmers to lay poison for birds during the first week in October.
