JUNIOR TABLE TENNIS

Closing Party

To mark the closing of the season for the Junior Table Tennis Club, a party was held in the Arrowtown club room last Saturday. After a programme of games and competitions, afternoon tea was served. Mrs Henderson congratulated the players on the ivay they had progressed during the season and expressed the hope that the club would be enlarged next season. Francis Hansen, secretary, presented Mrs Henderson with two hand-painted serviette rings for her work in organising the club and giving the use of her room. Mrs B. Fletcher assisted with the afternoon programme and donated two prizes for games. Each child received a small bag of sweets and a paper hat. Prize winners were: —Treasure Hunt, lan Harvey, Anne Ogilvie, and Francis Hansen; musical stick (over 10), Mick Adams; lucky number (under 10), Allison Shaw; tail on pig (under 10), Anne Ogilvie, (over 10), Winsome Summers; putting scallywag (over 10), Colin Walker, (under 10), Anne Ogilvie; musical backs (over 10), Margaret Swann (under 10), David Denniston.
