Queenstown Scouts and Cubs’ Equipment To be Stored
Because the Scout and Cub pack of the Queenstown Boy Scouts’ Association has been disbanded meanwhile through insufficient membership, the association, at a meeting last week, decided to store the equipment. The association, however, is to remain in being in the hope that both the pack and the troop will be revived.
The financial position of the association was discussed. The resignation of the Rev. P. C. Williams from the position of Cubmaster Avas accepted Avith regret, and that of Mr W. J. Hore as Scoutmaster was also received and accepted Avith regret.
It Avas decided that the committee should organise a social evening on a convenient date in order to express the thanks of the association to Mr G. D. Cochrane, a former Scoutmaster, and Mr W. J. Hore and the Rev. P. C. Williams for their services to the movement in QueenstoAvn. The latter two are both leaA’ing QueenstoAvn shortly on transfer.
The meeting Avas held at the residence of the chairman, Mr J. Keen.
