NATIONAL SAVINGS
An Outstanding Achievement The Postmaster (Mr W. Smith) states that once again Queenstown has exceeded its annual quota in respect of National Savings in the first three months of the current financila year. The target was raised this year from 1 £.2496 to £2BOB, and up to June 30 £3558 16s fid has been, reached. Queenstown, which had a very proud record in savings last year distinguished itself and the district as being 292 per cent, above its annual quota, the highest in Southland. Present indications promise that even this remarkable achievement will lie passed this year.
