“COMPLETE FROST”

The attention of the Lake County Mail has been drawn to a reference made in a contemporary to the fact that a frost of 28deg. was recorded in Queenstown and that many burst pipes resulted. This is definitely incorrect, as the highest frost recorded this year has only been 14.3deg. No burst pipes have been reported, and only three residents have been without water, and then only for a short period.
