TABLE TENNIS

Return Match Drawn Twenty members of the Alexandra Table Tennis Club played a return Inatch against the local club on Wednesday evening last in the Arrowtown Hall. The match resulted in a draw, the aggregate score being 20 games to each club. Mr J. W. Henderson, president of the Arrow Club, in welcoming the Alexandra players, stated that he was very pleased that they had been able to get to Arrowtown to play a return match, and he expressed the hope that the Arrow team would give them better games than they did, in Alexandra. The vistiors were entertained with tea and cakes on arrival at the hall. After the match the Alexandra president, Mr Hickie, replied and thanked Mr Henderson for his welcome and remarks and the Arrow players for the good time they had given the members of his team. He expressed the opinion that the Arrow players were much improved since they ’’i t met at Alexandra. The visitor” were entertained at a *hort dance after the match, and later to supner at Thompson’s Tea Rooms. Music for the dance was supplied by Miss D. Wilcox and Mr E. Henderson, and Mr Dan Cowie was master of ceremonies. Scores were as follows (Arrow results

first) :—Men’s Singles, 2—B. Ladies’ Sbm’es, (5 —4. Men’s Doubles, I—41 —4 Ladies’ Doubles, 4—l. Combined Doubles, 7 —3. Total, 20—20.
