Substantial Advance in Prices There was evidence of a buoyant market at the sale held on June 17, when prices showed a substantial increase in comparison with the previous auction held on June 4. An exceptionally large catalogue was submitted to the buyers, who operated freely, and bidding was very brisk. A keen demand for all grades was maintained throughout the sale, and values as compared with the last sale may be quoted firmer as follows; Lower grades, Gd to 12d per lb; autumns, 4d to 8d; early winters, Gd to 29d; lower winter grades, 2d to 12d; medium winter grades, 8d to 15d; furrier winters, 12d to 25d; while blood-stained grades were Gd to 24d per lb firmer.
