QUEENSTOWN BOROUGH COUNCIL GENERAL RATE 1947-48 PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that under Section 78 to 80 both inclusive, of the “ Municipal Corporation Act 1920 ” and under Section 48 to 51, both inclusive, of the “ Rating Act 1908 ” and all amendments thereto, this Council intends at its next meeting to be held on the 3rd day of July 1947, to strike a General Rate of 2s 3d (two shillings and three pence) in the Pound, upon the Rateable Value of all rateable properties appearing on the Valuation Roll, for the period ending 31st March 1948, and such rate shall be payable in one sum on the Ist day of August 1947 at the Town Clerk’s Office, Justice Department Buildings, Ballarat street, Queenstown, between the hours of 10 o’clock in the forenoon and 4 o’clock in the afternoon, on all office days.
