WEDDING BELLS

HUNTER—ROBERTS

At St. Matthews' Church yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon, the. wedding took place before a large congregation of Miss M. M. (Molly) Roberts and Mr Alex. Hunter (youngest son of Mrs and the late Mr John Hunter),'both well - known and very popular Helensville residents. The bride, becomingly arrayed in white crepe de chene, with braid and bead trimmings, with white tulle veil and orange blossoms, and carrying a beautiful white gbower bouquet, was given away by Mr T. Keane, of Hinemoa House. Miss Hilda Keane, the bridesmaid, was also nicely attired in black and white figured voile and pink hat, and carried a pink and white bouquet. MrWm. Taylor, acted as best man. Bey. C. Houchen, performed tho marriage ceremony, and Miss M. White officiated at the organ. P"" After the ceremony about forty relatives and friends assembled at Ilinemoa House, where the wedding breakfast was held A sumptuous repast was provided by the host and hostess, Mr and Mrs T. Keane, and the usual complimentary toasts were honoured. Several speakers, including the host, testified to the high esteem in which both bride and bridegroom were held by all with whom they had come in contact. A further evidence of ►this esteem was shown by the large number of handsome and Useful presents received from numerous relatives and friends. The happy couple left by motor car during the afternoon for Auckland.
