Placed round the silver shield are ten minature shields for engraving winning teams'names on. Top and bottom are silver fern designs, and surmounting the whole is a scroll containing the words "Kaipara Rugby Union " in solid gold letters. A. minature gold football also adds to the effectiveness of the design. The order for the shield -w as placed with Mr C. O. Ketterer. and the whole design reflects great credit on the engravers' art. The first name to be engraved on the shield will be Glorit, who won the competition for the past season. On Saturday next a team from Waikumete will visit Helensville and play the local fifteen on the Show Grounds. This will be the last match of the season, and a good game is anticipated.
