executive;; meeting.
An executive meeting of the above was held last week, when the following were present:— Messrs N. W. Rimmer (chairman) F. W. Strange, W. W. L. Bradly, J. C. Rimmer, W. J. Ellett, J. A. Wilson, A. J. Garry, A. J. Hill, N". Wallace, G. W., Sim, J. Mills, L. L. Bailey, and A. J. Skelton (secretary).
The appointment of judges for the various classes at the forthcoming show was dealt with, and the following were proposed : —
Draught Stock Classes : Messrs A. McNicol, J. M. Phillips and S. B. Grant.
Special Classes (Roadsters, Bloodstock, Ponies): Messrs W. J. Rutherford, B. Coleman and W. John stone.
"Saddle Horses and Hunters (Competitions): Messrs T Hinton, W. Duder and L. Nelson.
Shorthorns : Messrs J. Massey, J. Ambury and H. Brown.
Priesians: Messrs Parkinson, Fawcett and W. Hall.
Jerseys, Dairy Stock: Messrs Church, E. D. McLennan and A. Moreland.
Sheep and Pigs : Messrs Primrose McConnell, John Allan and Adam Collie.
Dairy Produce: Messrs 0. P Thompson and A. J. Garry. Field and Garden, Floral, etc.: Messrs D. Hay and C. Bennett.
School Gardens : Mr H. Cole, Stewards for same : Messrs F. W. Strange and W. W. L. Bradly
An application from the Helensville school committee, for the use of grounds and kitchen for a school picnic on December 12th was granted.
The Association recently wrote to the Minister of Agriculture asking that the Department forward an exhibit of produce, etc., to the annual show. A reply was received, stating that it was considered probable that a small collection of produce, etc., would be sent up for exhibition.
It was decided to extend to the executive of the Kaipara branch of the Farmers' Union an invitation to attend the annual show.
Three new members were proposed and elected.
A reply was received from Hon. J. G. Coates, stating he was in favour of the proposal taestablish an experimental fa I'm in the Kelensville district, and that he would communicate with the Minister of Agriculture re the matter.
After a good deal of discussion, it was decided to engage the Highland Band from Auckland for show day. An amendment that tenders be called for a band was lost.
