PRE-WAR TIME-TABLE.

BIG IMPROVEMENTS

vjThe Railway Department announces that the restoration of what is practically the pre-war time-table on all lines, is to commence on Sunday, December 14th. The 18th will also see the restoration of excursion tickets and the various concessions in force before the war. On the Kaipara line, the improvements contemplated, compared with the present time-table, will be much appreciated by everyone. Following are the main alterations : —

An express train will leave Auckland at 8.25a.m.0n Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and Helensville at 10.17, arriving at Ranganui at 12.40 p.m. This train will stop at Newmarket, Mount Eden, Avondale, Henderson, Waitakere, Waimauku, Helensville, Kaukapakapa, Tahekeroa, Ahuroa, Kaipara Flats, Hoteo, and at all stations between Wellsford and Ranganui. On Saturday this train will run from Auckland to Helensville only. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays an express train will leave Ranganui at 12.20 p.m., and Helensville at 3 p.m., arriving at Auckland at 4.40 p.m. This train will make the same stops as the Auckland-Ranganui express.

The present 7.20 a.m. train Auckland to Helensville will leave Auckland at 7 a.m. The 3.15 p.m. train will leave Auckland at 4.5 p.m. and stop at Newmarket, Mount Eden, Avondale, Henderson, and at all stations north thereof, arriving Helensville at 6.30 p.m.

The present 6.50 a.m., train Helensville to Auckland will leave Helenaville at 7 a.m. and after leaving Henderson will stop only at Avondale, Mount Eden, and Newmarket. It will arrive at Auckland at 9.10 a.m.

The present 4.12 p.m. train will leave Helensville at 4.10 p.m. After leaving Henderson it will stop only at Avondale, Mount Eden, and Newmarket. It will arrive at Auckland at 6.50 p.m., enabling passengers to join the Main Trunk express.

Although no provision is make by the present arrangements for a Sunday train between Auckland and Helensville, it is stated on good authority that such train will be an accomplished fact at no distant date.
