Reid's sale of thoroughbreds at Oamaru last February, has produoed a filly foal to the imported horse Kilbroney Martiques has been sent to DargavilU to be mated this teason with Marble Arch, sire of Mullingar. Kilbroney was •old at the same sale to Mr lan Duncan, of Wellington, for 4000 guineas.

Martiques, by Martian—Everlasting, is out of the imported mare Azalea, -which is closely related to Sir Georgre Clifford's pair—Royal Stag (Dunedin Guineas) and Moorfowl (Wellesley Stakes). Martian is the leading sire in New Zealand, his stock last year winning £22,951 10s.
