THE EDEN ELECTORATE.
MR. HORNBLOW AT PARAKAI.
Mr R. E. Hornblow, Liberal candidate for the above seat, opened hie campaign in the Parakai Public Hall on Monday evening last. Although the weather"' was anything but favourable to tempt people to go out, the candidate had a very good attendance.
Mr Nichol, who presided, in introducing Mr Hornblow, spok« of the many public services he had rendered as a representative on local public bodies in Kaipara and in- other centres down South.
Mr Hornblow spoke for an hour and ahalf on matters of local and Dominion interest, and received a splendid hearing. At the oonclusion of his address a number of questions were put, and answered with evident satisfaction.
A request was made that Mr Hornblow should again visit Parakai, which that gentleman agreed to acc«pt, if possible.
A vote of thanks to the candidate was carried by acclamation, a similar compliment was accorded the chairman.
