N.Z FARMERS' UNION.
The Organising Secretary, Mr L. L. Bailey, informs us that he has had a very successful trip through the districts of Leigh, Matakau, and Omaha, enroling practically every settler in these districts, On Monday last Mr Bailey addressed a large gathering of farmers at Puhoi and on Tuesday canvassed that district with very satisfactory results. Farmers are beginning to wake up to fact that they need an organisation to protect their industry, and the N.Z. Farmers' Union is out for this object, and is growing daily in numbers, and gaining more strength politically and commercially.
The organiser leaves for Northern Wairoa to-night, to conduct the executive meeting for that district,
