SAVAGE CLUB CONCERT.

SATURDAY NIGHT

The Savage Club Choir, which is giving a concert at Helensville this coming, Saturday night, in aid of funds to improve and modernise the bath house at the Springs, place the following facts before the public, in going to the expense and inconvenience (these times) in travelling to Helensville :

(1). The Choir, during the entire course of the war, kept together for the purpose of giving patriotic concerts, and achieved its object by raising several hundreds of pounds for various patriotic organisations. A good few members went to the front, most of whom have returned and re-joined the choir.

(2). The Choir had to get special permission from Wellington to travel for the purpose of giving the concert, and a large number of artists will take part.

(3). The object of the concert is purely patriotic. Members feel that by improving the baths and grounds at the Springs, more returned men undergoing treatment will be attracted thereto, and better facilities will exist for their treatment.

(4). The Choir are paying the entire expenses of the trip, which individually will amount to about 30s, and, to ensure bigger takings at the concert, each performer is buying his or her own ticket for admission.

(5). Therefore, with the foregoing facts before them, it is up to the public of Helensville to do their best to uphold this generosity by attending in such numbers at the Lyric Theatre on Saturday evening that the promoters will be forced to put up the " full house " sign before the concert commences.
