CITIZENS' BALL.
the complimentary ball tendered to soldiers by the citizens and of Helensville and district is to take place in the Lyric Theatre on Thursday evening next, August 21st, and it is confidently expected that there will be a reoprd attendance. Preparations to make this event a marked success haye been in hand for some weeks now, and no pains have been spared by the committee carrying put arrangementsComplimentary tickets have been forwarded to all returned men iv the district whose names are available, and it is requested that any who have not received invitations notify the secretaries at once. Civilian tickets are going off well, and the following pric.es are being charged; double ticket 21/-, single gentleman 15/-, 12/6, extra lady 10/-; spectator's ticket to circle 2/6, .circle supper ticket 5/,. A sit.down supper is arranged for in the Star Theatre with ■\ room enough to accommodate all the dancers at once.
