A farewell social was tendered to Miss ; -~ Maud Rimmer on Monday evening last :; in the Star Theatre; There was a big ' " attendance; despite the inclement state of the weather, and a most enjoyable time was spent. On behalf of the residents of Helenaville, Mr Jas. Stewart presented Miss Rimmer with a suit-case and eider-down, and in a neat bpeeeh expressed the regret felt at her departure ->*£v and wished h,«r all sorts qf success mi*Mi her new home at Hamilton.
