SHOOTING SEASON.

The special shooting season for imported (cock pheasants, Australian and Californian "quail) and native game in the' Auckland acclimatisation dietnet will extend from May Ist to July lit, both days inclusive. The native gamf\, which may be shot are :—Grey *nd! spoonbill duck, teal, pukako, and black; swan ; the number of birds to be killed by any one person in one day being limited % 25 head in all, and the number bf cock pheasants is limited- to 12. It will be noted that pigeons are not frieluded among the native game.
