MONDAY, AUGUST 12th, 1918
PRESENT Comrs. J., F. Lambert (chairman), H.Thompson, H. Aitkenhead, H. Graham, F. W. Strange, James Stewart, and the clerk (Mr W. F. Raisher). MINUTES Minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE Outward correspondence was confirmed. RESOLUTIONS. The following resolutions were carried :— That tenders be called for cutting fern and ti-tree and removing same on Cemetery. !? te wart —Strange. That Mr Munroe Wilson be asked to state cost of trial survey with plans and specifications in accordance with the suggested scheme for supplying water to! Parakai. Aitkenhead —Stewart. That the metal (130 yards) ordered for Awaroa Road be forwarded at once. Strange— Stewart. That the footpath in Mill Road be extended to the Kaipara Bridge. Aitkenhead —Graham, That tenders be called for steps, kerbing, and fender piles for Fishermen's Wharf. Thompson —Stewart. That a rail to be painted white be placed on the south side of Awaroa Bridge. Thompson— Stewart. That Mr Fifield be instructed to visit all houses and premises in the town occupied by Maoris, and report upon the sanitaryconditions. Stewart—Graham. That a sexton be advertised for, applications to close on 7th September. ACCOUNTS Accounts amounting to £70 16s 5d were passed for payment.
