—Friday Evening—

•' Kitty Mackay " —Lilian Walker makes a bonny Scotch lassie in this delicious Greater Vitagraph drama. She dances a fine Scotch reel close to the camera's eye, cracks a succession of perfectly delightful Scotch jokes, and frolics and dimples through the story until the tragic moment when she thinks her life is to end in dismal heartbreak, Sadly she. returns to slavery after her pilgrimage to the homes of the rich and great, and in thess scenes her acting rises to great heights. However, the story has a glorious ending, and we find, everybody supremely happy as the "end' appears on the screen. The plot is an original one, taken from the play of the same name which had such a unique English and American run at the leading theatres, and the cast is a powerful one. Charles Kent, as the old lord on whose shoulders is the responsibility of so much suffering, does fine work, and Jewel Hunt as Kitty's Scotch chum is perfect. —Saturday Evening— Gloria's Romance—("Lost in the Everglades ") chapter 1. CastGloria Stafford BILLIE BURKE Dr Royce Henry Koiker Richard Freneau David Powell Frank Mulry William Roselle Pierpont Stafford Frank Belcher Lois Freeman Jule Power Gloria Stafford, daughter of Pierpont Stafford, millionaire banker, and sister of David Stafford, goes to Palm Beach, with her family to spend the winter. David Stafford grows to admire Lpis Freeman, but finds that lie has a rival in Richard Frenau, a young broker. One night Gloria slips away from beneath the watchful eyes of her governess, and goes for a spin along the beach in her brother's big racing car. Suddenly the steering gear goes wrong and the big motor swerves straight out into the Atlantic, Gloria manages to get out of the car, and wet and begraggled sets off for the hotel afoot. She loses her way, however, and dawn finds her wandering in the Everglades. —Tuesday Evening— " The Rise of Susan," starring Clara Kimball Young—Susan's father dabbles in the arts, and by her work in a fashionable shop their home is maintained.
