DEFENCE NOTES.

Officers of the Third Medical Board arriyed in Helensville yesterday afternoon and proceeded to the Hot Springs. To-day the Board held an examination when about thirty reservists from the northern districts presented themselves. The attesting officer was Lieut. Bailey. Major Turley and Sergt.-Major Stokes, of Helensville, are still in camp at Narrow Neck.

A memorial service will be held at Wpodhill on Sunday, July 29th, in memory of the late Sergt. Stanley Hoe. Members of the Helensville Platoon K.D.R.C are requested to attend.
