HELENSVILLE TOWN BAND

The first concert will be held in Stewart's Hall on Thursday, 29th inst, The Band is under the uspices. of the Town Board and should receive the loyal support of every citizen. Up to now funds for purchase of instruments, music, etc,, have been provided chiefly out of the pockets of the members themselves1 More instruments are required, and shortly the Band hope to provide open air entertainments at IJelensville and the Hot Springs, For this concert assiduous practice has been given and players have received much assistance ■ from Mr Berryman, a recent resident, and talented cornet player, who has kindly consented to assist the Band at this concert Helensville residents will also have opportunity to hear Mrs Burgess, of Auckland, a soprano, whose voice is of rare quality, Mr D.
