WEDDING BELLS.

REYNARD—NICHOLLS,

A QUIET but very nice wedding was solemnised at Parakai on Saturday last. The bride was Miss Mary Nicholls, daughter of Mr and Mrs Richard Nicholls of Parakai, and the bridegroom was Mr John Reynard, of Helensville. The marriage ceremony was conducted at the residence of the bride's parents, the Rev. J. Lamond being the., officiating Minister. The bride entered the room leaning on her father's arm,. and wore a stylish navy blue costume. The bridesmaid was Miss Grace Nicholls, who was also nicely and suitably attired. Mr George A. McDonald acted as best man. The bridegroom has enlisted for the front and will go into camp shortly, and leave with the 19th Reinforcements. The wedding breakfast was tastefully arranged in the dining-room, and amongst the guests who sat down were Mr and Mrs Donovan and Mrs and Miss Aitkenhead. A toast to the soldier boys at the front was proposed, and their health, drunk, "Sons of New Zealand" being sung. The health of the bride and bridegroom was also proposed and duly honoured, the bridegroom suitably reply-; ing. Mr Donovan, in 'a happy speech, proposed the health of : the bride's parents, and spoke of the well-known and well respected name of the Nicholls family. Mr Nicholls replied, and welcomed the bridegroom into;|ta'eir family, and prophesied for them a bright future, Mrs Nicholls and himself had got on best by helping one another, and,the wished the same joy and success for his daughter and her husband. , Mr Nicholls,junior, proposed the health of the bridesmaid and best man, and Mr George^McDonald replied. Mr Donovan. .proposed the health of the ladies,, and; M^s^AitkenUe.ad the health of the gentlemen. The iiappy couple left for Auckland' annd' showers of rice and good wishes, '~--
