Sandin that the last of the amounts, are in for the sale of tickets, viz., Mrs Jas.McL.eod, 10s; Mrs Eddelston, ss; Helensville School, 18s; so with the balance previously acknowledged (£l2 Is) makes a total for the two benefit shows of 413 17s, (Beoroft's, £7 10s 6d; Stewart's, £6 6s 6d). Subs, donated at ECHO Office, £10 10s ; grand total forwarded to the Mayor of Whangarei, £24 7s. Several more subscriptions have been promised, and the Secretary hopes these amounts will come in at once, Showing the patriotism of Master Gordon Millward, whq awns a pet gjoat, his father said he was going to destroy it. but the boy said, " Dad, sell it for the Aeroplane Fqnd/' Good. So the sale took plage at Buckland's yards last Monday. Plenty more may take a pattern , from this Utttle boy.
