ONE CHURCH AND THE WORLD OF CANT.
In another column may be found a short sermon as supplied us by Rev, J. A. Lamond, of Kaukapakapa, on the founding of " One Great Church-" It is dedicated to one and all; the church-.; goer, the laymen, tae athiest, the crawler who hides behind a cloak, and the non-church-goer. There is no harm in devoting ten minutes to the subject as printed and we feel no one will be contaminated by the process. There is no " cant " about the sermon either. ■' Gant " has ruined many different sects, and .caused many good and sincere Qh.ristia,ns to sever their connection from qhurGh and churchrgoing, through the arrant lyypocrits going round " canting" with the Bible in one hand and a thieving 3-nd seducive disposition in the other band, with, perhaps, something worse up, hi 3 sleeve. But to have one church for all men and women is almost too good tq contemplate, and is nqt a scheme thai; o.ie can get out letters patent for such
a huge scheme
